UPDATE FROM MYANMAR 🇲🇲 | Thank You for Powering Hope

One month ago, we shared the urgent situation our representative Tim and his family were facing in Yangon, Myanmar after a devastating earthquake severely damaged the local power grid. With temperatures reaching extreme highs and electricity only available a few hours a day—if at all—survival became even more challenging.

Thanks to your donations, we were able to purchase and deliver a top-tier power station to Tim’s family—a single-parent household of four doing their best to stay strong through this crisis.

This power station is doing more than just powering a fan.
✅ It’s charging phones so they can stay connected
✅ Providing light and a fan during the hottest hours of the night
✅ Heating water for cooking and hygiene
✅ Supporting small appliances that make daily life more manageable

In emergencies, electricity is more than a convenience—it’s a lifeline. And this one-time gift has brought lasting comfort and relief to a family that needed it most.

Coach Richard and his two best students with some gear donations from nak muay foundation, Thai pads two ropes and twins gloves for the dedicated young female student who comes everyday

In addition to donating the power station, we were also able to deliver new Muay Thai gear, which we ordered in Bangkok and had shipped directly to our hotel in Yangon, Myanmar. These supplies were gifted to Coach Richard, a local trainer who runs a humble family gym that serves as both a training space and home.

Coach Richard lives in the gym with his wife and children. He charges nothing to train the local youth, many of whom see him as a mentor and father figure. His wife, a skilled seamstress, supports the family by sewing clothes in the corner of the gym—often working while training sessions are underway. Their dedication to the community is deeply inspiring.

Thanks to the help of our representative Tim, we had the opportunity to sit down with Coach Richard for an interview. He shared his story, his challenges, and his dreams for the future. We’ll be releasing that video on our YouTube channel soon—once our team adds subtitles to make it accessible to a wider audience.

Meeting this family was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. It’s not just about sport—it’s about resilience, selflessness, and community.

We’re proud to say that this act of kindness became real because of you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who donated, shared our story, and continues to support the Nak Muay Foundation.

When we support our coaches and community leaders, they continue supporting their neighborhoods and students. Together, we’re not just powering homes—we’re powering hope.

Stay connected, and thank you again for being part of this journey. 🙏
